  26 Jan - Past Presidents' Evening.
  23 Feb - By Dr Isabelle Ryder from University of Liverpool is giving a lecture on "The Secret Life of Faults".
  13 Mar - Practical & Field Meeting - National Science Week Event.
  16 Mar - Distinguished Visitor's Address by Lynn Frostick on 'Rivers, Floods and Climate Change'.
  16-23 Apr - 150th Anniversary Field Meeting to NW Scotland with Joe Crossley & Hazel Clark.
  23 Jul - The Iceland Reunion Trip to Iceland with Chris Hunt.
  Other Field Meetings are in the process of being arranged.

                                                                        If you would like to learn more in a friendly, informal
                                                                        atmosphere, then the LIVERPOOL GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY
                                                                        welcomes you.

                                                                       (Public & Community Relations Officer of LJLA) and also shown

                                                                       All LGS Indoor Meetings are held in the modern James
                                                                       Parsons Building, Liverpool John Moores University, Byrom
                                                                       Street Campus.

     We offer a varied programme of illustrated talks, practical sessions, and field trips.

               Guest speakers include local experts and internationally recognised scientists.

               Visitors and members welcome at all meetings

               Suitable for all levels of knowledge

               Modest membership subscriptions - £15 Full, £5 Students

      Lecture Meetings

              Usually on selected Tuesday evenings from October to April

              At James Parsons Building in Liverpool John Moores University, Byrom Street, Liverpool

             For talks, meet at 7 pm in the Tower Cafe for tea, coffee and biscuits

             Talks start at 7.30 pm in nearby Lecture Theatre 137
